Extended Day Program
(Ages 4½ to 6 years)
The Extended Day Program offers children extra time to deepen their learning through advanced Montessori work and collaboration, fostering confidence, independence, and readiness for elementary school.
IDEAS embraced our daughter fully and never tried to push her into a mold. The school and its teachers fostered an environment that encouraged her to be curious and inquisitive without being afraid of making mistakes, which gave her freedom to be herself and confidence in who that is. The school tapped into the best of who she is and allowed our now 7 year old to thrive. We are so grateful for how IDEAS nurtured her and now watch as she continues to carry the love for learning and self assuredness that was instilled in her wherever she goes.
Program Highlights
Students engage in enriching Montessori activities that reinforce key skills, encourage teamwork, and prepare them for future academic challenges.
Independent Practice
The program offers opportunities for self-directed learning, helping children develop the initiative, responsibility, and confidence necessary for elementary school readiness.

Advanced Montessori Work
Children explore advanced Montessori materials that deepen their understanding of key concepts. This extended time allows them to practice focus, problem-solving, and mastery at their own pace.

Collaborative Learning
Working alongside peers encourages communication, cooperation, and respect. Through group projects and shared activities, children learn to contribute, listen, and work as part of a team.

Growing Beyond
the Classroom
The Extended Day Program offers children a valuable opportunity to deepen the skills they’ve developed in their regular Montessori classes. Through engaging activities and exploration of advanced materials, students strengthen their understanding and apply their learning in new, meaningful ways.
Collaborative work with peers fosters social growth and teamwork, while independent tasks encourage focus, responsibility, and confidence. Beyond academics, the program nurtures character and independence—helping children grow into capable, curious learners who are well-prepared for the transition to elementary school.
